Becoming a Better Boss: How to Communicate

by GiGi Nally | Jun 22, 2017 | Empowerment, What's Up Wednesdays

I had this boss once who never quite understood how to articulate his thoughts properly. It wasn’t his fault, necessarily, he just wasn’t taught how to communicate.  Let’s just say, it made working for him a challenge. I became stagnant in my job, started to care less...

What Separates Goals We Achieve from Those We Don’t

by GiGi Nally | Jun 14, 2017 | Doses of DFS, What's Up Wednesdays

2 words, 8 syllables.  Delayed gratification… What exactly is gratification, how does one delay it, and why is doing so beneficial?  Yeesh — do you have a headache?  Me too.  Let’s break it down.   Take this example.   Instant gratification: picture yourself pulling...

What I Learned My First Week as an Intern

by Lauren Ladouceur | Jun 13, 2017 | Doses of DFS, Empowerment

We have all been the new girl (or guy) at work before. You’re a little afraid and excited, and at the same time you stayed up a little too long the night before as you let your nerves get the best of you… sound familiar? There is an eagerness to learn and be helpful,...

Reap All the Rewards: Develop a Mentoring Program

by GiGi Nally | May 30, 2017 | Empowerment, Tuesday Tips

Sometimes I get lost — even with the help of my iPhone GPS blaring in my ear. Siri shouts “Turn right!” at the exact moment I take a left onto the interstate. And while it’s tough getting lost on the way to work, its worse when you feel aimless and adrift at work....

Don’t Let Your Personal Brand Consume You

by Caroline | May 11, 2017 | Empowerment, Thursday Tidbits

You must read this article I found in the New York Times. After having just finished Joshua Meyrowitz’s book No Sense of Place (nerd alert!), I’ve been really interested in how today’s media market, particularly social media, emotionally and interpersonally affects...

<zoë> our junior mascot is now live on our websit <zoë> our junior mascot is now live on our website! #FridayFeels 🐾
•
zoë has joined us as our junior mascot. her elder sister, sullivan, is her manager. she hails from @carolinagildedretrievers where @danaspinks29 and @emmie.w.wood selected her to join her sister and our dfs family.
•
zoë is named in memoriam for Zoe Bromberg, a close family friend of her human mother.
•
unlike her big sister sullivan, zoë is known for her lack of understanding personal space, her long hair, exuberant personality, and need to be the center of attention.
•
as sullivan serves as chief happiness officer, zoë has taken on the role of diva in charge. she has mastered the “soft skills” required at any job: staying close to her boss at all times, never doing what she’s told, and looking cute at all times no matter what.
•
in her spare time, she enjoys staring at her human boss for uncomfortably long periods of time, walking without a leash, and climbing fences.
•
unlike her big sister sullivan, she adores accessories and has never met a scarf or bandana she doesn’t like and consequently will not ruin.
•
a frequent at @dogculturegvl zoë is known for her interpersonal effectiveness.

•
she dove into the world of printing, ranging from digital to flexography. she worked for Upstate print companies, affording her the opportunity to manage accounts for a plethora of local businesses.
•
her extraordinary work ethic and polish took her to the next level, where she was highly sought after by an international corporation.
•
during her tenure in corporate graphic communications, she shared her expertise with national brands. her passion for client relationships and crafting excellent experiences lead her to join us.
•
with over a decade of account management experience and strategic custom solutions, anna is the trusted point of contact for clients seeking to maximize their potential.
•
anna is a Darlington, SC native, but happily calls Greenville home. she’s been drawn to the Upstate from the outset, since her time growing up was filled with trips to and from Death Valley to cheer on the Tigers @clemsonfb
•
when out of the office, you'll find her on the water at Lake Marion or Keowee with her family, traveling with friends, or spending time with her husband and their black lab, blue.
